MindOut’s innovative work with LGBTQ older people is gathering pace - Age matters 50+ is a project consisting of a range of peer support and social activities for people who are 50+ who want to get out and meet other members of the community. Meeting other people to share experiences, feelings and problems can reduce the feeling of isolation and loneliness in a safe supportive place. Please come and join us and also spread the word as much as possible so we can reach older people in need of vital mental health support.

Wellbeing Workshops 50+ (at Community Base)
We are running four wellbeing workshops to help increase confidence, assertiveness and build resilience:
- Preparing to meet your G.P. Monday 29th April 11 – 2pm
- Assertiveness training Monday 13th May 11 - 2pm
- Accessing services Monday 27th May 11 - 2pm
- Reducing isolation and loneliness Monday 17th June 11 - 2pm

Cream Tea at the B Right On Festival 50+ (free event)

Trans and / or non–binary coffee and cake morning
We are having a coffee and cake morning on Wednesday 27th March 10.30 – 12pm. If you identify as trans and / or non-binary and would like to come and meet other 50+ trans/non-binary service users for an informal chat and social, to find out what MindOut is doing to support trans and /or non-binary people 50+ and for you to tell us how best we can support you.

Support for LGBTQ 70+
If you are 70+ we would love to hear from you about how we can support your mental health.
Counselling for LGBTQ people 50+
We now have a dedicated group of counsellors who are 50+ themselves and we particularly want to target LGBTQ people over 60 who would benefit from exploring difficult experiences with a counsellor of a similar age.
