For many people work is a big stressor in life. LGBTQ people can risk feeling unseen, excluded or discriminated against at work, heightening stress. If you can relate, you might be interested in our ‘Work It Out’ services – support for LGBTQ people in paid employment.

Our Work It Out peer support group is held from 5.30pm to 7pm on Tuesday evenings with Kip Webb-Heller on Zoom. It is a space where LGBTQ people juggling work and mental health needs can come together to share their experiences and support each other. We’d love to hear from you if you are interested in joining the Work It Out peer support group – please email [email protected]

We also offer Work It Out-themed online support sessions from 12noon to 1.30pm on alternate Tuesdays. Kip and one of our wonderful volunteers run this service and it’s open to anyone LGBTQ over the age of 18. You can access the online support sessions via the chat bubble on our website: www.mindout.org.uk

Kip’s Stress Awareness Month tip:

‘Cuddling my dogs reminds me to slow down and breathe. It’s especially stress-busting to sit by the sea with them and watch the waves’.
