LGBTQ+ Mental Health Hero of the Week: Danny Dwyer

A smiling white man in a waistcoat and tie standing in a kitchen.

This week’s Queer Mental Health Hero is Danny Dwyer. He raised £1,465 for MindOut’s counselling service in celebration of his birthday in May. This is an extraordinary contribution that shows how one person can make a massive difference.

Danny gives back to the community in so many ways. He is the founder of Bear-Patrol, a local organisation that provides opportunities for LGBT community members to come together socially as well as give back to community organisations. The organisation has raised over £80,000 for the LGBT community since 2010. We’re honoured to be one of the organisations that he supports.

Danny is a shining example of how a MindOut for each other mindset can make a difference. He is instrumental in making mental health a community concern.
