Brighton LGBTQ Meditation Group and MindOut are hosting an evening of discussion and practice with Lama Rod Owens as part of his European ‘Talking Love and Liberation’ Tour.

Lama Rod is one of the leaders of a new generation of Buddhist teachers in the US. He relates his life experience as black, queer and male to explore how we can best care for ourselves in a sometimes hostile world. He will share about the impact a spiritual, healing practice can have on our LGBTQ lives, and how we can empower ourselves and our community to support this.
Lama Rod has co-authored the book Radical Dharma: Talking Race, Love, and Liberation
On Saturday 21 April 2018, Bodhi Tree Brighton will also be hosting a day of dialogue and practice with Lama Rod focusing on Dharma of Self-care for Marginalized People. The day will include guided meditations and group work around the themes of liberation, self-care and the practice of compassion.
