Personal Safety workshop

As part as the 50+ wellbeing project activities, we have organized an exciting workshop called ‘Personal Safety’. We have qualified experienced trainers delivering the workshop who will also be able to answer any of your questions that may arise during the workshop.

 

Refreshments will be provided. The Workshop is FREE.
The workshop content is as follows:

 

Learning outcomes:

Ø  Increasing safety awareness

Ø  Practicing skills to take control in threatening situations

Ø  Learning some physical self- defence skills.

 

During the session you will be able to use a combination of physical practice, discussion, role play, small group and pair work to learn the following skills:

Ø  Assertion skills

Ø  Looking confident

Ø  Spotting warning signs and avoiding danger

Ø  Diffusion skills

Ø  Physical self- defence

Ø  Use of voice and strong body language..

 

This workshop is open to people who are 50+ and identify as LGBTQ.
